Test results in TDS for XAUUSD instruments:
After receiving positive testing results, we put it into forward testing on a specially opened demo account with the Darwinex broker. We created monitoring of this trading account in the Myfxbook service.
For a complete understanding and transparency of the approach to comparing the results of testing and trading on a demo account, we will determine the methodology.
The Smart GOLD Expert Advisor was specially launched on a demo trading account with the Darwinex broker, since the tick history of this broker is available in the Tick Data Suite with the ability to use a real spread when testing. This will allow for a complete comparison taking into account identical tick data, which is of high quality in the Tick Data Suite. Let’s immediately say that trading on a demo account differs from trading on a real account, namely the execution of orders; on a demo it is of course better, since operations with orders are processed directly on the demo server. On the contrary, on a real trading account, conditions are more severe, since depending on the dealing model, liquidity providers are involved. But in our example, the execution and influence of the spread is not so important, since this Forex trading algorithm Smart GOLD Expert Advisor is not a pipser or HFT.
Since tick history in Darwinex is usually posted on the server for downloading after a few weeks, we will not be able to compare for these last two weeks. A sample of completed transactions over a period of almost 2 months will be quite representative. And we will compare the following trading period:

As can be seen from the above comparison of the trading results of the Smart GOLD Expert Advisor on a demo account and the testing results in Tick Data Suite, there is an almost complete coincidence of the results, which in turn definitely adds confidence.
Conclusion
In conclusion, it should be noted that despite the high verification of transactions made using the Smart GOLD Expert Advisor trading algorithm on a demo account and based on the results of testing in TDS for the same trading period, this is just one element of a successful system and it is not worthwhile to trust only this factor . Until now, the answer to the question of when this trading algorithm was created, and even more importantly, on what interval it was optimized and whether a backward or forward period was used to check the optimization results, remains unknown.
